Our Story

The Mosinee Papermakers were founded in the mid-1990s, born from the same blue-collar spirit that built this town. Named for the paper mill workers who have defined Mosinee's identity for generations, the team quickly became a source of community pride — a place where mill workers, tradesmen, and lifelong hockey players laced up together and took the ice.

Over the decades, the Papermakers have developed a reputation as one of the GLHL's toughest and most passionate clubs. The team has produced multiple playoff runs and cultivated a loyal fanbase that fills the Mosinee Ice Arena on Friday nights, generation after generation.

The Great Lakes Hockey League (GLHL) is one of Wisconsin's premier adult amateur hockey leagues, featuring teams from across the Northwoods and Central Wisconsin. Founded to give competitive adult players a high-quality league experience, the GLHL has grown into a cornerstone of Wisconsin's hockey culture.
